Robin Hooper
Director and Planning Law Solicitor
Robin has worked with a number of nationally known companies accross the UK on major development projects. Sometimes Robin has been appointed in non-executive Director roles to deliver this change. Employed mainly as Chief Executives of councils across the UK, he has been involved with implementing business transformation projects, corporate and individual recovery situations and has advised national and local clients on many legal projects.
Robin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with him to the practice, particularly in the planning field, and he now advises clients on environmental considerations, compulsory purchases, gaining planning permission, enforcement action and dealing with section 106 Agreements. His expertise was gained having worked at the highest level of local government for twenty years and four years as Director of Planning at one of the country’s top law firms, where he consolidated himself as one of the industry’s foremost planning experts.
Some of Robin’s recent successes include negotiating then delivering a multi million pound land assembly and development project including the development agreements and Section 106 Planning Obligations, engaged in negotiating and concluding corporate transactions and share sales, involved in review of corporate organisation structures, mentoring, coaching and delivering training packages ro deliver transformational change for clients across England and Wales.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, holds a Master’s Degree in European and Employment Law, and a Doctorate in Business Administration. Robin has also had several articles and papers published in leading professional journals and newspapers.
